About the role
- Lead research and analysis of the Asian LNG and gas markets, focusing on emerging trade flows, shipping market dynamics, supply-demand fundamentals, policy impacts and other price drivers
- Grow Vortexa’s LNG market coverage, developing new reports and content
- Present data and market outlook to clients via presentations, webinars and conferences
- Connect with media organizations to share Vortexa’s market insights
- Work closely with commercial team to demonstrate the value of Vortexa LNG offering and support clients with specific LNG market analysis needs
- Analyze and explain LNG price movements and differentials across regions, considering demand, shipping costs, and geopolitical events
- Develop models to forecast LNG supply, demand, and trade flows; collaborate with data scientists to enhance predictive capabilities
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to improve Vortexa's LNG analytics platform and data quality
- Produce blog posts, whitepapers, and updates on LNG market trends and developments
Requirements
- LNG Market Analysis: Lead research and analysis of the Asian LNG and gas markets, focusing on emerging trade flows, shipping market dynamics, supply-demand fundamentals, policy impacts and other price drivers. Utilize Vortexa's cutting-edge platform and data sources to derive actionable insights for our clients
- Grow Vortexa’s LNG market coverage, developing new reports and content
- Present our data and market outlook to clients presentations, webinars and conferences
- Connect with media organization to share Vortexa’s unique market insights
- Client Engagement: Work closely with commercial team to demonstrate the value of Vortexa LNG offering to the industry and support our clients with specific LNG market analysis needs
- Price Dynamics: Analyze and explain LNG price movements and differentials across various regions. Understand the factors influencing pricing, including market demand, shipping costs, and geopolitical events
- Forecasting and Modeling: Develop models to forecast LNG supply, demand, and trade flows. Collaborate with data scientists to enhance predictive capabilities using historical and real-time data
- Product Improvements: Collaborate closely with our data science, engineering, and product teams to enhance the accuracy and relevance of Vortexa's LNG analytics platform. Provide feedback to improve data quality and develop new features
- Industry Thought Leadership: Contribute to the company's thought leadership initiatives by producing blog posts, whitepapers, and updates on LNG market trends and developments
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation in energy analytics
- At least 3-year of experience in LNG market research and analysis
- Proven market analytical skills and a deep understanding of LNG and natural gas market fundamentals
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex insights to diverse audience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or engineering.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment (extra)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Python and experience with data visualization tools (extra)
