About the role
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the full stack.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using Python/Flask, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Lead the development of new features for the Navigator Console, scheduling, and assessment tools, enhancing Rippl’s telehealth platform.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver intuitive and accessible user interfaces using React (or similar frameworks).
- Integrate third-party services and internal systems (e.g., EHR, telehealth, analytics tools) through robust APIs and data pipelines.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
- Conduct regular code reviews, debug complex issues, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Work closely with product managers, clinicians, and operations teams to translate care workflows into scalable software solutions.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support knowledge-sharing and long-term maintainability.
- Stay current with Python/Flask ecosystem developments and front-end best practices to continually improve Rippl’s technical stack.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of full stack development experience with a portfolio of deployed applications
- Strong proficiency with Python, specifically using Flask for back-end development
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices in Python/Flask, with attention to scalability and performance
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies, especially React (or similar frameworks), plus solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and HIPAA-compliant system design strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Curiosity about AI-driven solutions in healthtech, with interest in applying them to real-world clinical and caregiver workflows
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where priorities shift quickly.
