About the role

  • Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and memos and prepare calculations to support accounting conclusions and facilitate external audit reviews in accordance with US GAAP
  • Collaborate with teams across Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and other departments to ensure technical guidance is consistently operationalized and understood
  • Support initiatives to enhance external reporting readiness, including complex accounting topics, disclosures, and process improvements
  • Help design and implement efficient, SOX-compliant accounting processes and internal controls to support organizational growth
  • Partner with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely and accurate conclusions on accounting matters
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on technical accounting topics and emerging standards

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined experience in Big 4 FAAS experience and/or corporate accounting at a SaaS or high-growth technology company
  • Chartered Accountant required- CPA license strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated technical accounting expertise and experience drafting memos on complex, non-routine transactions
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX)
  • Experience working in or supporting a company with increasing external reporting, audit, or regulatory complexity
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and a mindset toward process improvement and automation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable working independently in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
