Manages the commercial litigation portfolio, working with external counsel.
Coordinates external counsel to represent company in all litigation.
Identifies and implements litigation strategy, including settlement of matters.
Reviews and provides feedback on pleadings and discovery responses.
Reviews, drafts and negotiates commercial agreements.
Provides legal advice, guidance and training to internal corporate clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requires at least 5 years of litigation experience (commercial litigation) at a large law firm and/or the law department of a major corporation.
Experience with restrictive covenant litigation is required.
Experience with intellectual property litigation is a plus.
Experience negotiating business contracts is a plus.
Requires a degree from a reputable, accredited law school & admission to the bar of at least one state.
