About the role

  • Develop and forecast supply plans by brand (Peter Millar and G/FORE) and product category to support the demand plans.
  • Manage inventory reporting for all channels; establish regular review of KPIs – turn, sell-thru and inventory – and react to changes in demand and logistics.
  • Own full lifecycle of products including season code maintenance, aging and disposal via donation/closeout.
  • Coordinate closeouts with International and Domestic teams.
  • Maintain oversight on all freight purchases while maintaining annual freight budgets.
  • Oversee growth and development of personnel within the Supply Chain team.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize throughput at vendors.
  • Build monthly production plans out 24-36 months to combine with US plans.
  • Build monthly inbound receipt plans with operations to optimize flow of goods (inbound+outbound).
  • Direct logistics on flow of goods to maximize ATS, bringing forward key styles to maximize allocation conversion.
  • Level load receipts to maintain internal activity drivers.
  • Build framework and tools for line scheduling as input to the supply plan and collaborate with production to turn this on in key suppliers.
  • Communicate International needs to Line Review Director(s) and Merchant(s) to inform total company SKU plan development needs.
  • Work with sales teams regarding inventory callouts, event needs, and assortment concerns to advise strategy.
  • Ensure alignment of merchandise buy plans, budgets, sales/margin forecasts, and other business goals to achieve financial targets.
  • Develop and forecast seasonal sales for DTC, Wholesale and Distributor channels and present to management for approval prior to placing factory orders.
  • Establish the open-to-buy plan at the product category, style and SKU level.
  • Maintain weekly reviews of current season and future season open to sell units, monitor when inventory is running low and identify reorder opportunities.
  • Oversee adoption of new technology tools / systems on the international team.
  • Proactively communicate to sales team on seasonal sales and inventory strategy, and gain feedback for buys and future season planning.
  • Propose strategies to drive product sell-thru in order to maximize profitability on the life of an item or product category.

Requirements

  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Apparel knowledge and luxury brand experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong inventory planning experience – preferably with a consumer brand
  • Solid in-bound logistics planning & production experience
  • Knowledge of forecasting software related to demand & supply planning is a plus
  • Analytical with an ability to balance financial targets with qualitative business goals
  • Ability to adapt to highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement in business practices
  • Exceptional communication skills and time management
  • Ability to lead teams and develop teammates
  • Ability to solve problems and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
