• Prepare complex fiduciary income tax returns, gift, estate, and various other tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual tax planning) with no direct supervision

Tax Supervisor – Trusts/Estates

• Due to Company expansion, we are seeking to add another Tax Manager to our Ridgefield Team!
• The Tax Manager is responsible overseeing complex tax activities and clients.
• The Tax Manager will be a leader and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality income tax services for our diverse client base.
• This individual will be responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations, while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.

• Conduct appropriate and applicable research regarding tax issues to ensure accuracy and implementation of specific tax law and provide guidance to clients and/or suggest alternatives

• Handles multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Ensures engagements are appropriately scheduled and staffed based on complexity and size
• Develops and trains managers and staff, participating in mentoring employees
• Responsible for strategic decisions relating to the practice and tax department
• Aids in marketing efforts and developing new business
• Reviews highly complex individual and business returns
• Develops strong relationships with clients and becomes their primary contact
• Responsible for client retention through effective problem resolution, negotiations, proactive client follow-up
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of client business
