About the role
- We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing Cloud Practice team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives across various client projects.
- Design and implement AWS cloud architectures using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, and more.
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams to build and deploy cloud-native and hybrid applications.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in AWS deployments.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Assist in migration of on-premises workloads to AWS.
- Develop automation scripts for provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Document technical solutions and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compute/storage solutions in the AWS ecosystem.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or similar.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Working knowledge of containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cost optimization strategies.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments or multi-account AWS setups.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, or Datadog.
- Experience working in Agile environments with JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., AWS Inspector, GuardDuty).
