• Build, operate, and improve Render’s usage-based billing systems.
• Integrate with and maintain third-party billing systems (e.g., Orb, Metronome, or similar).
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Product, and Support Engineering teams to ensure accurate, reliable billing and reporting.
• Work with large-scale databases and data pipelines to capture, transform, and reconcile usage data.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve billing reliability and performance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions about how billing integrates with the broader Render platform.
• Help shape internal processes, documentation, and best practices for billing operations.

Billing Engineer

Data Scientist

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly Product and Engineering, to guide, influence, and support product strategy with data insights.
• Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to address diverse and challenging business problems using various analytical and statistical techniques.
• Explore and evaluate opportunities for product improvement.
• Develop and track success metrics for product initiatives.
• Provide actionable insights about our users, such as how they work, how they discover features, and which obstacles they might run into on the platform.
• Contribute toward initiatives to enhance the reliability and accuracy of our data infrastructure and processes.
• Partner on projects like defining metrics for features and platform reliability, conducting quantitative user research for pricing, developing abuse-detection algorithms, and building standardized product usage datasets.

Staff Data Scientist

Analytics Engineer

• Architect and own the data models, pipelines, and tooling that power analytics across the company.
• Design and maintain performant, reliable data models and pipelines to enable self-service analytics, flexible querying, and advanced data science use cases.
• Partner with stakeholders to establish clear, documented, company-wide data definitions as the source of truth.
• Develop internal tooling for auditing, validation, and discovery to make data easy to use correctly and difficult to misuse.
• Translate complex business logic into accurate, trustworthy datasets and champion best practices for data modeling and pipeline development.
• Serve as a data steward and subject-matter expert for key business domains; collaborate with the Data Platform team to enhance scale and performance.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to drive strategic decisions, operational insights, and advanced experimentation.

Staff Analytics Engineer

Security Engineer

• Build internal tooling to enable secure access to resources (e.g., wrappers, utilities, authentication services, and proxies).
• Implement detection and monitoring systems that alert the team to high signal vulnerabilities.
• Analyze and assess security issues identified through threat modeling, penetration testing, security scans and vulnerability disclosure.
• Work with developers on sensitive code paths and educate them on secure design patterns.
• Liaise with customers regarding their security and compliance needs, and in return, inform our security program.
• Communicate security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders as part of company-wide planning and prioritization processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices and make recommendations for improvements to our security posture.
• Partner with product engineering teams to inform and build thoughtful security features for our customers.
• Continually ensure that our systems have appropriate authentication, authorization, and accounting with low internal overhead.

Technical Account Manager

• Act as the primary technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise accounts and building trusted relationships with technical leaders and their operational teams.
• Conduct a regular cadence of strategic technical and business reviews, including architectural deep dives, performance optimizations, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) focused on value realization.
• Translate technical solutions into business value, articulating the impact of Render on key outcomes like developer velocity, operational efficiency, and infrastructure costs.
• Guide customers on integrations, helping them seamlessly connect Render with their broader development ecosystem.
• Serve as the customer's internal champion, sitting on the same side of the table to advocate for their needs and channel feedback that directly influences our product roadmap.
• Develop and share best practices through documentation, webinars, and workshops to help scale your impact across the entire customer base.
• Contribute to evolving and maturing the TAM playbook, helping to refine our engagement models, health metrics, and internal processes as we scale.
• Represent Render with authenticity, curiosity, and technical credibility in every customer interaction.

Product Manager

• Lead the Expansion team to drive the development of zero-to-one products that meet the evolving needs of mid-market and enterprise development teams
• Drive successful cross-functional coordination across Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership to deliver on high-impact initiatives
• Build strong relationships with largest customers to uncover insights that shape product direction and go-to-market strategies
• Champion and refine Render's top-level business strategy for serving enterprises and scaling teams in collaboration with leadership
• Foster a high-performing and positive team culture
• Design and build Render's developer pipeline tooling
• Identify and advocate for strategic partnerships that serve mid-market and enterprise customers
• Prioritize and deliver observability, management, and security features to meet the compliance needs of Render's largest customers

Head of Product Expansion

Accountant

• Support the monthly financial close, including general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of management reporting packages
• Assist the Controller with audit preparation, compliance requirements, and tax filings
• Support accounting operations related to Payroll including processing and reconciling deductions, benefits, 401K, flexible spending plans and related reconciliations
• Ensure quarterly and annual payroll tax filings are accurate and timely in coordination with our payroll provider
• Own the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including invoice coding, approval workflows, vendor payments, and compliance with financial controls
• Review vendor contracts and payment terms to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
• Maintain strong internal controls over payments, proactively identifying and mitigating risks in the P2P cycle
• Own reconciliations for payroll, bank, accounts payable, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases and other GL accounts
• Own lease accounting under ASC 842, including journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures
• Oversee Travel & Expense (T&E) reimbursements and support implementation of a new travel tool
• Support system enhancements and process improvements, including potential system migrations and workflow optimizations
• Continuously improve accounting processes to shorten close timelines and increase automation, efficiency, and scalability
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to streamline payroll, procurement, payment, and expense management processes
• Take ownership of special projects and other responsibilities as needed in a fast-growing environment
