About the role
- Define and execute the global strategy for Solutions Consultants, aligned with Customer Success and Sales objectives with a primary emphasis on pre-sales support to drive revenue growth
- Set long-term goals, priorities and success metrics for the function that include product demonstrations and customer engagement during the sales cycle
- Influence organisational strategy through insights on customer needs, product capabilities and market & industry trends
- Represent Solutions Consultants in leadership and strategic planning sessions when required
- Partner with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Advanced Data Solutions (ADS) and Product to align the strategy with business growth objectives
- Advocate for customer-centric innovation and contribute to product roadmap decisions
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team, ensuring scalability and operational excellence
Requirements
- Experience of strategic leadership within Customer Success, Account Management or similar roles
- Proven ability to define and execute global strategies in complex, matrixed organisations
- Strong understanding of Elsevier’s products and services or experience in related industries
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution
- Languages beyond English would be beneficial
