Set up and operate internal grinding machines to produce finished parts to specified print tolerances
Perform all work elements to make any setup or reset in the machine group (remove/install support rolls, indicate/remove/install pressure rolls, install spindles, change motor pulleys, change/adjust diamond roll dresser)
Install motor blocks to drive grinding wheels for dressing drive roll and bearing components
Change, grind, and adjust jaws on the chuck work-head and backing plates; set and adjust shoe and shoe holder
Attend running machines in the group at regular intervals and operate multiple machines simultaneously
Manually load and unload parts from trays
Use gauges (air, mechanical, plug, runout) to inspect parts and perform SPC data charting as required
Gauge a high percentage of finished parts and make machine adjustments to maintain print tolerances (size, taper, runout)
Change grinding wheels and turn diamond when necessary
Keep machinery and work area clean and orderly; complete required paperwork
Perform miscellaneous duties such as material handling, clerical reporting, machine lubrication, and first piece approval per setup approval-process
Operate precision measuring equipment and follow Ethics and Safety Programs
Adhere to Export, Import, and Supply Chain Security Policy, State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs, and ISO 9000 Standards
