About the role
- Providing business-focussed generalist HR/People advice, guidance and interventions across a geographical area or collection of operational programmes / departments
- Performance and Reward: Provides coaching and training to line management for effective performance management, assists in proactively managing underperforming Co-Members, monitors and supports probationary Co-Members to meet productivity expectations, advises on evidence-based procedures, reviews investigation reports
- Employee Relations: Builds positive relationships with Co-Members and management for early issue escalation and resolution, monitors attendance, presents satisfaction and engagement survey data, assists in producing company responses to formal grievances, conducts investigations into grievances and allegations
- Resource and Talent Planning: Works with Reed Direct Sourcing Team and management teams to ensure recruitment processes are delivered to company standards
- Organisational Design: Assists in facilitating organizational changes, provides support and guidance to management during consultation activities
- Miscellaneous: Produces People data for the board report, ensures adherence to Health & Safety and Safeguarding guidelines, liaises with People Services team
Requirements
- Background of working in a generalist HR/People environment
- Some experience of supporting and advising line managers on a range of HR/People issues such as employee consultations, reorganisations, disciplinaries, grievance and sickness absence proceedings
- Experience of creating/updating Company policies and procedures
- Supporting employees in all areas of Company compensation and benefits
- Experience of supported internal and external recruitment & selection processes (attraction, assessment centres, interviews, testing etc.)
- Graduate level (minimum 2.1)
- Working towards CIPD qualified status.
- A practical and up to date understanding of employment law
- Experience of working in a fast paced commercial environment that is subject to regular change
- Providing people focussed interventions that support the delivery of business objectives
- Ability to analyse and understand issues/information to make decisions or put forward recommendations
- Confident in dealing with people at all levels within the organisation providing accurate HR/People advice
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organised and methodical with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tactful and discreet in handling sensitive personal information.
- Willingness to travel across the UK for the proper performance of the duties of the role.
- Experience of working with HR/People systems (workday Preferable)
