About the role
- Responsible for sales and account management within assigned territory existing primary and secondary customers for Besse Medical specialty distribution
- Sell Besse Medical products and solutions and meet or exceed revenue, profit and margin growth targets
- Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure continued business and successful renewals
- Ensure ongoing contract compliance and proactively address reasons for non-compliance
- Negotiate and implement Prime Vendor Agreements (PVA) with current customers
- Monitor and analyze reports and data to measure profitability growth (specialty and biosimilars) and develop strategies
- Achieve monthly sales/activity goals (call volume, % of calls leading to an order, order volume and revenue)
- Lead onboarding of new customers and implementation of customer solutions collaborating with functional departments
- Partner across functional and organizational lines with subject matter experts during the sales process
- Create annual strategic plan in cooperation with Sales Director and an operationally efficient daily territory call plan
- Manage assigned territory with a regular call cycle and make off-cycle discretionary calls as needed
- Maintain and track account activity in CRM and other sales management tools
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the community physician markets through ABC training and coaching
Requirements
- Demonstrated history of successful application of consultative selling skills in a diverse customer marketplace
- Broad training in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar; four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required
- Normally requires five (5) plus years directly related and progressively responsible sales experience (≥60 months)
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, retail and alternate care segments desirable
- Working knowledge of retail and alternate care industries, trends, and challenges facing customers
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and adapt communication style to various audiences
- Ability to actively listen and influence others with different points of view
- Strong organizational agility; ability to work across teams internally to achieve common goals
- Advanced understanding of financial concepts relevant to maximizing sales profit (e.g., profit and loss statements, value)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to change and successfully monitor multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or timeliness
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance
- Experience with CRM and other sales management tools; continually maintain and input account activity/results information
