About the role

  • Develop shift capability ensuring maintained performance levels against set KPIs
  • Pro-actively deal with performance losses through a continuous improvement approach using the Reckitt Production System
  • Responsible for adherence to factory budgets with a clear understanding of risks and opportunities
  • Instil Reckitt & site vision across the Factory, linking behaviours and objectives against the compass
  • Display and lead by example against the Reckitt Leadership Behaviours, Create, Deliver, Own, Care
  • Operate against the Site operating model of People, Safety, Quality, Service, Performance
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to statutory and site EHS & Quality Compliance standards taking a zero-tolerance approach to non-conformance
  • Responsible for the shift performance monitoring performance levels through measured KPI’s, developing and executing improvement plans where KPI’s are off target
  • Develop the shift team capabilities to ensure delivery of current and future business demands
  • Effective resource planning, development of skill levels & training, succession planning
  • Effective machine running against SOP, scheduled and well executed interventions to maintain and drive machine performance
  • Adherence to & development of repeatable processes covering both line & Factory level, leading to improved production execution and factory standards
  • Responsible for delivery against the Factory budget associated with Production Execution, understanding the risks and opportunities and identifying actions where off track
  • Report monthly shift performance, providing clear communication on status, performance levels & improvement plans for the shift
  • Decision making taking into consideration the best interests of the company as a whole, not necessarily the best decision for the shift & factory only

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent with 2-3 years experience in manufacturing roles or HNC / HND
  • 2-3 years experience in production people management, preferably in an FMCG operation
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification and knowledge and application of UK statutory requirements
  • Knowledge & application of, MHRA GMP regulatory requirements within a Healthcare manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • Knowledge & application of Continuous Improvement tools; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, DMAIC, PDCA, & Gemba Walks
