About the role

  • Oversee daily departmental workflows, prioritizing and coordinating tasks across critical systems, escalations, incidents, and Jira requests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor workload trends, optimize processes, and provide hands-on guidance to analysts
  • Monitor operational metrics to ensure alignment with cost targets and strategic objectives
  • Work within established RBC policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance
  • Analyze diverse issues (e.g., data, processes, risks) using multi-factor evaluation to inform recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and balance stakeholder needs
  • Assign and prioritize tasks based on urgency, impact and strategic alignment to analysts
  • Prepare and deliver regular operational reports, dashboards, and briefings to management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technology Management or related field
  • 3+ years of IT operations experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role leading diverse technical teams
  • Proven expertise in IT service management (ITIL certification a plus), project delivery, and incident resolution
  • Experience with agile/DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to present actionable insights to leadership
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strategic thinker with a proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving
  • Strong understanding of RBC policies and procedures (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities with composure
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and collaborative platforms
