About the role
- Provide a high level of technical support to customers
- Own complex customer issues and keep customers updated
- Support many elements of the Rackspace Cloud product portfolio
- Create and maintain customer loyalty by providing a fanatical experience above and beyond customer expectations
- Monitor and provide maintenance for all related infrastructure
- Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment
- Implements large, complex enterprise-class solutions
- Lead tasks relating to system architecture enhancements, problem management, fleet
- Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks
- Provide technical expertise underpinning communications targeting a range of stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred. High School Diploma is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Next-Generation Firewall Engineer (PCNSE) certification is preferred.
- Ability to work with F5 load balancers.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- AWS Cloud experience.
- Knowledge and experience with ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling.
- Advance knowledge and experience of virtualization technologies, Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Advance knowledge and experience of network and server hardware infrastructures and storage technologies (NAS, SAN).
- Experience with designing secure network architectures, identity and access management principles, application security, encryption technologies, DNS, SOA, database and web applications.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex scenarios with clear solutions.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
