About the role
- Continuous network monitoring to ensure uptime and performance
- Respond to service-related incidents and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations and incidents
- Collaborate with the IT support team and other departments
- Assist in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans
- Provide regular reports on network performance and incidents
Requirements
- 10+ yrs of experience
- Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows Server)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG
- Knowledge of network security best practices, including VPNs, firewalls, and IDS
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly document and communicate technical information
