About the role
- Oversee day-to-day supervision and management of the Health Information Management (HIM) department
- Responsible for the standardization and implementation of HIM tools and processes
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of current health information regulations
- Ensure proper functionality of Health Information technology systems
- Lead or assist with system implementations and upgrades
- Support leadership by assessing, investigating, making recommendations, and following up on new technology
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- 3-5 years of operational HIM experience
- Expertise in Health Information functions and operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and people skills
