About the role

  • Create and manage visual design for websites and related digital projects.
  • Lead visual design for digital projects as a creative partner with our clients, using innovative design thinking that puts customer experience first.
  • Conceive, develop, refine, and execute on-strategy, on-time, visual design that delivers on the creative brief and client objectives.
  • Advocate for brand standards and review all work with a critical eye and cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Collaborate and foster relationships with multiple clients to present, refine, and champion work, confidently recommending solutions to further the effectiveness of our partnerships.
  • Exhibit the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects under tight deadlines, meeting all time and quality objectives while complying with regulatory requirements, policies, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, graphic design, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, or illustration for digital projects with a strong portfolio in diverse mediums and channels.
  • Superior communication and visual art skills, including the ability to conceptualize and originate visual stories and themes.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with content providers, UX specialists, developers, and other partners to develop collaborative digital products.
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to designing products that are culturally literate and appropriate, and meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience with Figma.
  • Thorough understanding of modern web standards, UX/UI, and WCAG Accessibility standards.
  • Competent with Adobe Creative Cloud design tools.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with Drupal, WordPress, or other open-source content management systems.
