Source and filter investment opportunities; build a strong network within the fintech space and represent the firm at ecosystem events
Support investment team members conducting business, financial, and technology due diligence to move deals from sourcing to close
Develop financial models and company valuation analyses
Conduct thematic research and competitive deep dives within fintech sub-sectors
Support portfolio companies and management teams on short-term operational projects, impact monitoring, and strategic decision-making
Assist with quarterly reporting of portfolio performance and support Quona Operations, Platform, Impact and Investor Relations teams
Assist with investment pipeline management and automation initiatives within the fund and day-to-day investing operations
Collaborate closely with Quona’s global team and portfolio across Latin America, Middle East, India, Southeast Asia; travel to Quona markets and hubs

Bachelor’s degree (minimum) with excellent academic performance
Ideal: 1-3 years of experience in either evaluating investment opportunities, implementing strategic/commercial/operational improvements, or launching an entrepreneurial endeavor as founder or early employee
Commitment to work in-person from offices located in Cape Town at least 3 days a week
Ability to travel approximately one–two weeks per quarter to other geographies in Africa, Middle East and Europe, and more broadly across the globe
