About the role
- Provide End-User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT issues across the organization. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems with a focus on rapid resolution and excellent user experience.
- Manage Device & Identity Infrastructure: Administer our MDM platform (JumpCloud), ensuring all devices are properly enrolled, configured, and secured. Manage user provisioning, access controls, and off-boarding workflows.
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO): Lead the rollout and ongoing management of SSO integrations across our SaaS tooling, improving security posture and simplifying access for the team.
- Support Security Policy Implementation: Partner with security leadership to develop and enforce IT security policies. Help maintain compliance with frameworks like NIST 800-171.
- Automate & Script: Write scripts in **Bash** and **Python** to automate repetitive tasks, deploy software, and configure systems at scale. Comfortable working in the command line.
- Manage Office IT Infrastructure: Set up, configure, and maintain office IT equipment including networking gear, workstations, printers, and video conferencing systems.
- Create Clear Documentation: Write and maintain clear, concise documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Manage SaaS Administration: Administer productivity platforms including **Google Workspace** and **Microsoft 365**, managing licenses, permissions, and integrations.
- Juggle Multiple Projects: Balance competing priorities and manage multiple IT initiatives simultaneously without dropping the ball.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (JumpCloud, Jamf, Kandji, or similar)
- Strong understanding of SSO/SAML integration and identity management concepts
- Proficiency scripting in **Bash** and **Python**
- Experience with command-line administration on macOS and Linux
- Familiarity with **Google Workspace** and **Microsoft 365** administration
- Experience setting up and managing office IT equipment and networking
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer-service mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
- Collaborative spirit and a drive to continuously learn new technologies
- Experience in defense, government, or high-growth startup environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security principles (preferred)
- Experience with endpoint security tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or similar) (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, ITIL, Microsoft, etc.) (preferred)
- Experience supporting remote-first or distributed teams (preferred)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, SOC 2, etc.) (preferred)
