About the role

  • Negotiating and drafting customer contracts as well as various other transactional matters
  • Providing ongoing interpretation of customer agreements and advice thereon
  • Assisting in developing, disseminating and reviewing template contract documentation, internal forms and processes, and procedures for the company
  • Overseeing general corporate legal matters
  • Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance
  • Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws
  • Assisting with management of the Company’s insurance program and operations
  • Assisting with a variety of other legal functions such as loans, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, real estate, intellectual property protection, tax abatements, litigation, etc.
  • Managing collections on customer accounts
  • Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned
  • Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
  • Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia
  • Three or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice
  • Experience with project finance and/or asset-based lending (Nice to Have)
  • Data center and/or sales experience (Nice to Have)
  • Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong listening, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Box, Workday, DocuSign
  • Excellent analytical, time-management, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complicated legal and business issues
