About the role
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders for payroll-related inquiries
- Handle a high volume of inbound requests via phone and email
- Manage monthly workload of 200–400 support tickets ensuring SLA performance and CSAT
- Answer payroll questions and provide clear guidance
- Ensure secure handling of confidential payroll information
- Work closely with Internal Support team and other departments
- Review account setup and support workflows involving government agencies
- Create and update knowledge base articles
- Meet or exceed quarterly targets
Requirements
- 2+ years of payroll experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll rules and legislation
- Basic accounting principles
- PCP or CPM designation from the Canadian Payroll Association certification (preferred)
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with software and adopting new technologies
- Solution-oriented
- Ethical handling of confidential information
- Active listener capable of understanding customer needs
- Multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine passion for customer support
- Open-mindedness to seek help when needed
