About the role
- Act as the primary contact for distributor and retail accounts.
- Manage retail launch checklist, POs, pricing, deductions, promotions, and compliance requirements.
- Provide timely responses to account needs and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Hold retail partners accountable for delivering on planograms, promotional calendars, and other commitments.
- Expand distribution, shelf facings, additional placements, and other strategies to increase share-of-wallet with retailers.
- Cross-sell and introduce new brands to existing partners.
- Track promotions and optimize trade spend effectiveness.
- Own account-level forecasting and align with company planning cycles.
- Partner with sales administration for pricing and PO entry support.
- Collaborate with logistics/operations to ensure seamless account fulfillment.
- Maintain a complete retail promo calendar across retail/distributor accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of account activities, promotion results, and forecasts in CRM.
- Provide data-driven insights on account performance, risks, and growth opportunities to the VP of Revenue.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or customer experience within CPG, food & beverage, or related industries.
- Proven success in building and managing retailer and distributor relationships.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams.
