About the role

  • Triage incoming calls and assess patient needs
  • Provide appropriate healthcare options and education to callers
  • Facilitate referrals to primary providers, health care facilities and community resources
  • Educate callers on immediate health care advice, possible health related risks, and wellness/prevention behaviors
  • Work under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager in a nurse advice call center

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
  • Case management or acute care experience in a healthcare setting
  • 2 years of Acute or ambulatory nursing experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or related field
  • Preferred: 2 years of Case management or acute care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Preferred: 7 years of Acute or ambulatory nursing experience
