About the role
- Assist in drafting, designing, and scheduling social media content (graphics, captions, videos).
- Help maintain the monthly social media calendar.
- Support the creation and formatting of Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikToks.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; respond as needed.
- Help flag or escalate critical comments or PR concerns.
- Research pro-life news, current events, and digital trends to help identify relevant content.
- Track basic engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach) for reporting.
- Attend occasional PLM events to capture content for social media (photos, videos, behind-the-scenes).
- Help organize and archive social media assets (photos, footage, graphic templates).
Requirements
- Agreement with and passion for the mission of Protect Life Michigan.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Basic familiarity with Canva or willingness to learn; bonus if familiar with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong written communication skills with a sharp eye for spelling, grammar, and tone.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time flexibly.
- Experience with content creation (e.g., personal or organizational social media, school projects, campaigns) is a plus.
