About the role
- Act as an extension of the sales organization by leveraging the partner community
- Drive marketing programs with key partners
- Maintain relationships with partners and customers
- Ensure partner sales teams can articulate Proofpoint's SAAS Value Proposition
- Build business plans and regional strategies for channels
- Regularly interact with partners and sales management
- Supervise account mapping activities between Proofpoint sales organization and partners
Requirements
- Strong business acumen
- Regular interaction with partner principals, executives, and sales teams
- Conduct sales training presentations with partner sales teams
- Work with the Channel Marketing team to drive marketing programs
- Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business
- Define and deploy business plans with channel partners
- Develop and execute a regional strategy for recruiting new channel partners
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning
- Meet or exceed channel quotas
- Oversee relationship building activities and account mapping activities
- Strong cross functional leadership and excellent communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing resellers, particularly in information security and data archiving markets
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Existing relationship and experience with SHI in the East geo.
