About the role

  • Act as an extension of the sales organization by leveraging the partner community
  • Drive marketing programs with key partners
  • Maintain relationships with partners and customers
  • Ensure partner sales teams can articulate Proofpoint's SAAS Value Proposition
  • Build business plans and regional strategies for channels
  • Regularly interact with partners and sales management
  • Supervise account mapping activities between Proofpoint sales organization and partners

Requirements

  • Strong business acumen
  • Regular interaction with partner principals, executives, and sales teams
  • Conduct sales training presentations with partner sales teams
  • Work with the Channel Marketing team to drive marketing programs
  • Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business
  • Define and deploy business plans with channel partners
  • Develop and execute a regional strategy for recruiting new channel partners
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning
  • Meet or exceed channel quotas
  • Oversee relationship building activities and account mapping activities
  • Strong cross functional leadership and excellent communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing resellers, particularly in information security and data archiving markets
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Existing relationship and experience with SHI in the East geo.
