About the role
- Work closely with management and employee owners to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Perform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Maintain employee records, current and terminated including, but not limited to personnel data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, evaluations, and terminations.
- Recommend and implement recruitment strategies.
- Manage new hire requirements, onboarding processes, and employee orientation.
- Assist with development, tracking and implementation of employee training programs.
- Respond to unemployment claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
