About the role
- Execute the end-to-end setup for new employees and external partners, ensuring all laptops, peripherals, and software are configured to Plum’s standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Help upgrade and maintain meeting room AV setups, providing immediate troubleshooting for connectivity or hardware failures.
- Regularly monitor system and network performance tools; troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate complex outages to the Senior IT Administrator when necessary.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets; track hardware lifecycles and assist in the procurement process for new equipment and software licenses.
- Maintain a strict "document everything" policy, ensuring every system change or upgrade.
- Administer user accounts and profiles across various platforms; handle the technical execution of employee onboarding/offboarding and participate in periodic access reviews.
- Assist in day-to-day security operations by applying patches and system hardening guidelines; maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for IT processes.
- Support IT audits by gathering necessary logs and data; ensure all local workstations and user activities align with established IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Bonus points for industry-recognized certifications.
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an IT support role.
- Deep understanding of IT principles, standards, and best practices.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle IT challenges.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Stellar communication and interpersonal skills to drive IT initiatives and engage stakeholders.
- Capacity to effectively prioritise and oversee multiple projects concurrently.
