About the role

  • Contribute to and execute the FinOps roadmap
  • Maintain key FinOps metrics and analyze cloud billing data
  • Partner with Engineering & Product teams to integrate FinOps principles
  • Deliver FinOps awareness programs and documentation
  • Support Finance teams with accurate usage data
  • Actively monitor and optimize the utilization of Reserved Instances (RIs), Savings Plans, and Committed Use Discounts (CUDs)
  • Track changes in Cloud Service Provider (CSP) pricing and service offerings
  • Lead the execution of specific cost-saving projects

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in FinOps or cloud cost management
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Proven experience managing billing and discount mechanisms (RIs, CUDs) across at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Ability to prioritize based on cost fluctuations and break down complex billing data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and financial stakeholders
  • Great communication skills and a track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams
