Own the strategic direction, optimization, and governance of Plaid’s Workday platform, ensuring alignment with organizational and People team priorities
Define and execute the Workday roadmap, driving continuous improvement in system efficiency, data integrity, and overall user experience
Serve as the primary Workday architect and subject matter expert, overseeing complex configurations, integrations, business processes, and security frameworks
Lead end-to-end HRIS initiatives—including new implementations, enhancements, and integrations—in partnership with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Ensure Workday security, compliance, and audit readiness (e.g., SOX, SOC) through strong access controls, documentation, and change management practices
Advance data-driven decision-making by developing and maintaining sophisticated reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business and People insights
Act as a trusted advisor and mentor within the People Technology function, guiding stakeholders on HRIS best practices and Workday capabilities
Requirements
8+ years of progressive experience in HRIS or people technology experience or a similar role
6+ years of hands-on Workday configuration, implementation, and support experience across multiple modules (e.g., HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, etc.)
Deep understanding of end-to-end HR business processes (hire-to-retire) across various functional areas
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with a strong customer service orientation
Experience with other People technologies and integration tools (e.g., iPaaS, Lever, Ashby, Greenhouse), preferred
Knowledge of data privacy and security requirements in a HRIS context, preferred
