About the role
- Responsible for all sales activities in an assigned geographical area to maximize sales of BESREMi®
- Build and execute strategic territory plans across stakeholders involved in patient care
- Educate customers (hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, hospitals, P&T committees) about BESREMi® and address barriers to treatment adoption
- Communicate clinical profile, pivotal trial data, and address clinical/non-clinical barriers
- Partner with cross-functional teams (market access, medical) to provide customer solutions
- Develop account/prescriber action plans, use analytics to track progress, and meet/exceed business objectives
- Become subject matter expert on disease state, clinical data, product, competitive intelligence, and local market access
- Use data and CRM strategically and complete required sales administrative tasks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries including experience in the hematology, solid tumor, or rare disease space
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Consistent track record of hematology oncology sales experience in academic and community-based institutions
- Existing relationships with key customers (e.g., KOLs, key account leadership) highly valued
- Experience in new product launches required
- Experience in and understanding of other commercial functions (marketing, market access, sales operations, sales training, insights/analytics, business development) preferred
- Experience working in a start-up company environment preferred
- Specialty pharmacy knowledge preferred
- Track record of performance and passion for making a difference for patients
- Ability to understand all facets of the sales cycle including patient identification, building clinical conviction, understanding and overcoming access and reimbursement barriers, and navigating distribution
- Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and hunter sales mentality
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and strong leadership presence
- Demonstrated adaptability, high ethical standards, strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
- Advanced business acumen and granular account management skills
- Successful experience covering large geographical territories autonomously
- Familiarity with CRM and completion of sales administrative requirements (T&E, compliance SOPs, Sunshine reporting)
