About the role
- Serve as member of Thoracic Development Global Product Teams and Global Medical Strategy Lead for Late Phase Thoracic
- Lead execution of evidence and insight generation, interpretation and dissemination activities
- Lead a team of 1-2 Medical Directors or Medical Strategy Directors
- Partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities
- Collaborate directly with development teams, product teams and country medical teams to understand unmet medical needs and medical environment and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan
- Lead Global Medical Affairs Team and represent medical in Global Product Team and relevant subcommittees
- Support or lead evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
- Lead internal data interpretation and alignment activities
- Provide input to strategies around evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange
Requirements
- PhD/PharmD
- Experience in Medical Affairs required
- Clinical experience in Oncology preferred
- A minimum of five years industry experience preferred
- Launch experience a plus
- International experience a plus
- Regulatory and/or clinical development experience a plus
- Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
