About the role

  • Launch new gastroenterology products and decide upon strategies to manage business relationships and formulary access
  • Sales efforts and relationship development with assigned customers and accounts, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Identify and implement virtual/in-person engagement strategies by customer to maximize effectiveness and impact
  • Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on opportunities and insights
  • Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face-to-face environments; maintain methodical approach toward call objectives
  • Utilize digital tools (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, Microsoft Office) and analytics to plan and execute engagements
  • Compliantly deliver targeted messaging using approved materials to drive product demand and prescribing behavior
  • Educate providers on product and disease state information and use approved clinically oriented resources
  • Strategically deploy approved Pfizer resources (samples, vouchers, co-pay resources, patient education)
  • Support patients’ access to Pfizer products by providing information on Reimbursement, Patient Assistant Program (PAP), Pfizer hub programs, and Co-Pay Resources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (Field Medical, Reimbursement, Key Account Management) and use triaging protocols to address customer inquiries
  • Effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and customer insights to prioritize calls and provide feedback to leadership
  • Travel within territory and stay overnight as necessary to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR an associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience; OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous Pharmaceutical biotech or medical marketing/promotional/sales experience
  • History of marketing, promotional or sales success, strong territory management skills, outstanding communications skills
  • Experience in a specialized market where third-party reimbursement and service center has been utilized
  • Strong product and disease state knowledge and ability to educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions
  • Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, Microsoft Office) and ability to adapt to new/beta tools
  • Ability to leverage analytics to develop insights and action plans
  • Must live within 50 miles of the territory
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards (Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you)
  • Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory; ability to stay overnight as necessary
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States
  • Demonstrated teamwork, leadership ability, accountability, and ability to work in a matrix environment
