About the role
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with US Reimbursement and Payment Organizations/Agencies
- Assuring that payment policy does not impede access to Pfizer Vaccine portfolio
- Collaborating with the Senior Director of Pricing Strategy, Senior Director of Contract Analytics, Account Management Team, and Finance
- Understanding reimbursement practices within the private and public sectors
- Conducting analysis on payment data for our products and competitive products
- Keeping abreast of administration fees and any statutory changes that might impact access, coverage, or reimbursement
- Reviewing pricing publications regularly and presenting any changes in competitive reimbursement strategy
Requirements
- B.S. Degree is required and additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred
- Minimum 8 years with BA/BS, 7 years with MBA, 5 years with PhD/equivalent in Pharmaceutical Industry experience typically within the fields of pharmaceutical sales and patient access, coding, and reimbursement
- Minimum 3 years experience, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agency
- Reimbursement and Access experience is necessary
- Strong understanding of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of the Vaccine policy dynamics that exist in the Cancer Community
- Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills, strategic planning, and success in implementation of this plan to bring a return on investment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures
