About the role
- Leads the development and implementation of key assigned Global / US category-led initiatives that have an impact on multiple Medical Affairs stakeholders and markets.
- Supports the assigned Portfolio, Asset or Field Medical Affairs Lead(s) to drive alignment and coordination of goals, priorities, and efforts across Medical Affairs categories and asset teams, and with other cross functional partners.
- Contributes as a thought partner to the assigned Portfolio, Asset and/or Field Medical Affairs Lead and teams to develop and define future looking vision, mission, and strategic initiatives.
- Establishes and maintains a structure for co-creation and prioritized co-execution of Global and/or US medical plans.
- Supports the implementation of organizational/team-specific change management plans for Specialty Care Medical affairs, in collaboration with the Change Management team members.
- Drives the creation/implementation of medical processes, appropriate SOP’s, working with key stakeholders, to support strategy and execution of Medical Affairs, data generation/communication activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- min 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry or related fields;
- Advanced degree (e.g., masters) highly preferred 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields; PharmD/PHD
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields
- Work in a high paced environment

- Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to lead/ strategic development
- Excellent business judgment
- Master at resourcefulness with ability to keep pace with a highly changing environment
- Full knowledge and understanding of all relevant applicable SOPs

- Ability to operate effectively in a heavily matrix organization, with experience managing projects with team members in multiple locations
- Ability to manage resources, programs, and multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent and able to influence others in spoken and written English.
