About the role
- Report to the Team Lead within Pfizer Medical Content and Communication, Vaccines
- Lead the development and execution of impactful scientific communication strategies for assigned Pfizer medicines
- Ensure that overall scientific communication and content strategies reflect Therapeutic Area (TA) priorities
- Support Global Product Teams, Global Medical franchises, and other Pfizer Vaccines stakeholders in engaging with the external medical community
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the TA medical team
- Collaborate with International Medical Communications and Content team
Requirements
- Advanced medical/scientific degree (MS, PhD/PharmD or MD) with 7+ years’ experience if Master’s, 5+ years’ if PhD/PharmD, or 4+ years’ if MD
- Must be willing and able to become subject matter expert in disease area
- Experience developing strategic scientific communications and other scientific content to support scientific exchange
- Have a strong understanding of Medical Affairs, including medical strategies, disease areas, and objectives
- Ability to quickly build rapport and credibility with key internal and key external stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts and data into meaningful and digestible communications
- Strong track record of written and oral communication skills to develop and present scientific information
- Strong organizational skills to track numerous tasks for multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-oriented environment
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment and delivering scientific content
- Experience with omnichannel, including diverse content development
