About the role
- Own and evolve the core systems that enable Persona engineers to build, test, and deploy software, shaping how work moves from code to our customers.
- Build and scale developer tooling, CI, and deployment infrastructure that reduces friction, increases reliability, and helps teams move with confidence.
- Act as a force multiplier for engineering teams by removing bottlenecks, standardizing best practices, and improving the day-to-day developer experience across the company.
- Drive improvements in engineering velocity and system health using instrumentation, data, and automation to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and security partners to embed safety, reliability, and scalability into everyday development practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience improving developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or internal platforms with reliability and usability in mind.
- Hands-on experience with multi-regional applications employing background jobs and database migrations.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, aligning stakeholders and driving adoption of shared tooling, workflows, and standards.
- A data-driven mindset where you define clear success metrics, measure outcomes, and iterate based on the data.
- Nice to Have: Prior experience with Ruby/Rails
