About the role
- Assist lawyers in the clearance and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark and copyright matters
- Update and maintain electronic records
- Draft reporting correspondence to client for attorney review
- Draft U.S. trademark prosecution documents for attorney review and comments
- Continue training on USPTO rules and procedures as they relate to trademark prosecution
- Train on conducting U.S. and international trademarks, copyrights, and domain searches
- Perform computer database input and retrieval
- Maintain positive contact with co-workers and observe confidentiality of client matters
- Maintain accurate and timely daily time entry in accordance with the firm’s time entry protocol
Requirements
- Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent
- 5 years of work experience at a law firm
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel required
- Exposure to trademark litigation and TTAB preferred
