About the role
- Responsible for PerkinElmer's Materials Characterization product line within the Analytical Solutions Group.
- Presenting PerkinElmer capabilities, providing an interface to customers, and representing products and services in assigned territory (MI, OH, IN).
- Travel overnight ~60% of the time and work with product sales & service teams.
- Grow sales volume, execute sales plans, account management, identify new accounts, participate in trade shows, develop/implement business plans.
- Maintain time and territory management, present business/technical info, promote PerkinElmer support services, use CRM, update opportunity funnel, weekly forecasts, and rigorous funnel management.
- Cultivate customer partnerships and recommend solutions leveraging competitive knowledge.
- Work closely with regional sales, service, product specialists, and business units; provide local support for planned customer events.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Chemistry or related field.
- 3-5 years direct experience selling or supporting Inorganic instrumentation.
- must be able to travel 60%
