• Building quality into the product in the first place for the Kubernetes Operators for relational and NoSQL databases
• Evaluate and improve Percona Operator products and new features based on test plans, discovering product issues & bugs
• Contribute to the DevOps and release management lifecycle, which includes coordinating, testing, and managing Operator releases
• Collaborate with engineers and teams across the company to help deploy and debug Kubernetes Operators to facilitate rapid integration and massive growth
• Research and recommend tools, behaviors, and strategies for improving test and release processes
• Actively participate in architecture/design collaboration and prevent Developers from faulty architecture decisions before code is written

Quality Engineer – EMEA, APAC, South America

Engineer

• responsible for the high-quality technical execution of Percona’s Redis/Valkey product and service capabilities
• Deliver professional services/consulting engagements for strategic or complex projects
• Contribute to software in Valkey and related/supporting open source projects
• Identify ways to enhance, improve, or add to customers use of Redis or Valkey
• Actively seek collaboration between organizations to build mutually beneficial open source projects
• Acts as a technical escalation point for Global Services - takes ownership of complex/escalated Support tickets and owns them through to resolution
• Supports and assists in the continual improvement of Percona’s quality of Support/Service delivery by participating in ticket reviews/spot checks to identify opportunities for improvement related to newly introduced Redis/Valkey ecosystem software
• Provides feedback and guidance on Percona’s Valkey - and broader, where appropriate - software product strategy - contributing to functional specifications for product enhancements, changes, or new software products as applicable
• Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
• Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments
• Supporting the Percona Go To Market teams on strategic, Valkey related opportunities
• Talking at strategically identified conferences throughout the year
• Leads/Builds/Participates in a collaborative community of Redis/Valkey experts within Percona
• Support the creation of technical content for the community and Percona subscribers to consume. Blogs, Whitepapers, KnowledgeBase articles, webinars, and conference talks are all media types that may be used
• Your hours will be flexible between America and European timezone as required

MySQL Database Engineer

Payroll

• Manage and process payrolls for a global organization: Process semi-monthly US and Canada semi-monthly payrolls and monthly international payrolls in Germany, India, Canada, Ireland and the UK. Maintain proper employment & banking details in relevant systems.
• Ensure all invoices are accurately processed and timely paid for 200+ contractors: Process invoices in BILL.com and prepare external wire transfers for countries not supported. Resolve payment issues with Bill.com and banks.
• Process employee and contractor expense reimbursements: Audit expense reports to ensure compliance with travel and expense policies.
• Coordinate with payroll provider to resolve all US payroll-related tax notices: Register withholding and unemployment insurance accounts in new US jurisdictions as required.
• Communicate expense & payroll matters with employees, contractors, and managers: Manage new-hire training documentation.
• Record journal entries for payroll-related cash transactions and prepare payroll-related accruals and balance sheet reconciliations as part of monthly close.
• Support Accounting Manager and Finance Team with projects and analyses as required.
