About the role
- Improve deployment reliability and reduce operational risk
- Help modernize AWS infrastructure toward Kubernetes
- Support whole Engineering organization building applications on top of EC2 and AWS
- Own all aspects of the SDLC while striving to automate self-service wherever possible
- Practice SRE, continuously improving observability and building with Infrastructure-as-Code
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go, with experience writing automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience writing in a high-level programming language such as Typescript (Pulumi/AWS CDK)
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services and a solid understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and VPNs.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including the ability to troubleshoot cluster-related issues within EKS.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (GitHub Actions, Codefresh, or GitLab CI a plus)
