About the role
- Work directly with the CFO supporting fund and management company accounting and compliance
- Oversee fund processes: maintain internal system for investment rounds, exits, cap table changes
- Track fund expenses and rebills; prepare materials for quarterly & annual valuation and reporting processes
- Handle management company AR/AP: expense classification, allocation, reimbursement, and tracking; manage operating budget
- Support LP communications, fundraising preparation, and operational due diligence (ODD) requests
- Support compliance activities including filings and recordkeeping
- Tackle ad-hoc projects: periodic vendor/software reviews; annual business license, insurance, and tax renewals
Requirements
- Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and partnership accounting
- Experience at a VC firm, fund admin, or tax/audit firm
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills & problem-solving mentality
- Ability to easily context switch between multiple ongoing projects
- Strong follow-through on outstanding tasks
- Can-do attitude in a lean, growing team-oriented environment
