About the role
- Define, execute and socialize credit risk strategy and risk appetite aligned to effective risk mitigation, growth and profitability goals
- Establish credit policy and lifecycle controls across patient touchpoints
- Leverage traditional and alternative data to design and refine underwriting and pricing strategies across PayZen’s products
- Maintain critical reporting to track KPIs including origination trends, delinquency and loss rates, pricing and unit economics
- Enhance loss forecasting and work closely with partners to quantify implications of loss forecast and loss curve changes
- Partner with Product and Engineering to translate risk requirements into scalable, production-grade decision logic as well as support ongoing optimization of credit decisioning through experimentation, monitoring, and feedback loops
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in credit risk analytics, underwriting, or portfolio management within fintech, payments, or lending
- Proficiency in SQL and experience using Python (or similar) for data analysis and modeling
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for cross functional partners
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with real-time or near–real-time decision engines and underwriting platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
