Hands on engineering capability in support of Paramount Technology’s goal of migrating workloads between public cloud providers
Define strategy for migrating applications from various Linux versions (Amazon Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc) to a standard running on Oracle Linux
Collaborate and define, document and educate on standards to be followed for the following: Foundational cloud architecture
Automation framework, tools and taxonomy
Continuous Integration / Deployment methodology
Security Governance (In collaboration with Information Security)
Partner with and advise Cloud Engineering organization on infrastructure architecture, cloud network design, infrastructure automation and security best practices
Drive infrastructure strategy for security operations
Collaborate with Paramount Skydance Information Security organization on Company security standards
Lead team of Infrastructure Security engineers to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in our environment
Continually evaluate the startup market for innovative solutions in the areas of infrastructure automation, cloud security and observability
Proficiency with Chef Automation Enterprise/OCI
Manage the full lifecycle of the Chef Automation Enterprise platform, including version upgrades, agent updates, and ongoing maintenance
Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks to automate configuration management across a managed server ecosystem
Drive the certification process for new operating systems and software, ensuring compatibility and compliance standards are met

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
6+ years’ experience spanning at least 2 IT disciplines including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, database, OS or devops
Deep knowledge of multiple cloud provider offerings Amazon Web Services/GCP/OCI/Azure
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript or Terraform or Golang
Experience with large scale migrations of enterprise systems to public cloud
Experience working with cross functional teams across multiple time zones and varying cultural backgrounds
Experience designing, implementing and managing virtual private networks in public cloud ecosystems and connectivity to the physical layer
