About the role
- Support senior leadership in high-profile negotiations, including deal preparation, analyses, presentations, and contract review.
- Develop insights into partner priorities to identify opportunities for expanded distribution, product innovation, and joint marketing.
- Account management for existing and new distribution partners, ensuring strong relationships and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Legal, Marketing, Ad Sales, and Finance to drive business outcomes.
- Prepare contract summaries and ensure post-deal compliance.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects aligned with departmental goals.
- Mentor and develop junior team members (e.g., Coordinators).
- Monitor industry trends and communicate insights on competitive dynamics, regulatory changes, and partner KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in content distribution, partnerships, or media strategy.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with MVPDs, vMVPDs, or digital platforms.
- Familiarity with broadcast, cable, satellite, and OTT distribution models.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with proven ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), with emphasis on presentation skills.
- Ability to present strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborative team player with cross-functional experience.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
