About the role
- Oversee the development and production of audio and digital publishing content.
- Shape the global digital presence.
- Oversee strategy, production workflows, platform relationships, and analytics.
- Partner closely with creative, marketing, business and legal affairs, and data teams.
- Lead skilled producers and build relationships with authors, talent, and agents.
- Support licensed partners and develop in-house creative.
- Develop and own the global audio and digital publishing strategy across audio and ebooks.
- Full p&l responsibility and budget management.
- Oversee concept development, programming, and editorial direction.
- Identify new IP, talent partnerships and content opportunities.
- Manage audio and digital production pipelines, rights clearances and approvals, and editorial calendars.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in audio and/or digital publishing, music, media, or entertainment content preferred.
- Proven success managing digital content, launches, or audio production.
- Demonstrated experience working with creative talent and producers.
- Executive team and cross-functional team management experience.
- Some domestic travel may be required.
- Preferred knowledge of copyright, licensing, and business affairs.
- Thrives in a dynamic environment with a willingness to work across time zones.
- Mastery in script development, voice talent selection and direction.
- Robust comprehension of digital distribution platforms and monetization models.
- Proficient negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex rights/allowances and labor regulations.
- Solid insight of recording techniques, editing workflow, sound design & mixing, music and content licensing, studio processes and audio mastering standards.
