  • Annual Merit & Bonus Plan Administration.
  • Lead the design of Workday system enhancements and partner with HRIS team to communicate configuration needs, conduct testing, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create and manage project plan to ensure successful process.
  • Partner to develop communications and training for internal HR partners, people leaders and employees.
  • Support Compensation team with data analysis to foster our pay for performance culture.
  • Manage salary survey process, including participating and tracking submission deadlines and associated costs, processing payments, analyzing survey results to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Manage market pricing system to include survey data maintenance, survey participation, aging & job level mapping methodology, and data integrity/maintenance.
  • Evaluate market data/trends and conduct analyses to determine the competitiveness of Pacific Life’s compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding compensation.
  • Support the implementation phase of market studies (creating communication materials and processing employee changes).
  • Perform routine reviews of employee and job compensation data to maintain data integrity, implement changes and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Generate ad hoc compensation reports and analyses.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to compensation tools and systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Document compensation procedures.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business. Specialization in Human Resource Management, Finance, or related experience is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of cumulative experience specializing in Compensation.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders within the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation.
  • Deep understanding of how system components interact within HR applications and the ability to foresee the downstream effects of changes.
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal/written communication.
  • Comfort making compensation adjustment recommendations based on market data analysis.
  • Ability to work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Ability to self-direct and exercise sound independent judgement within established guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle compensation-related issues with discretion.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document compensation processes and procedures.
