About the role
- Grow business with pharmaceutical companies by generating leads, securing strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and contributing to go-to-market strategy
- Manage portfolio of key clients and identify/close new business opportunities with emphasis on long-term renewable engagements
- Promote Owkin Diagnostics' AI/ML technology to enhance biomarker discovery, clinical trials, market access, and commercial efforts in pharma
- Collaborate closely with Data, R&Tech, Product and strategy, Pathology and Medical, Legal and regulatory teams
- Lead proposals and manage contracting processes to secure strategic new business
- Contribute to scaling the company and implementing business development solutions, support market positioning and go-to-market strategy
- Cultivate Owkin's reputation through thought leadership in AI and digital pathology diagnostics
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development and account management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or diagnostic sectors
- Significant experience in high-value Diagnostic and CDx collaborations
- Demonstrated capabilities in driving revenue growth and closing high value and complex Diagnostics/Cdx, clinical trials and/or service collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry
- Deep understanding of drug development, clinical trials, and companion diagnostic (CDx) or in vitro diagnostic (IVD) solutions, especially with AI and machine learning
- Significant and relevant network across R&D/Precision Medicine/Diagnostic pharmaceutical industry
- University Degree with strong scientific and business background; preferably Masters/PhD in Pharmacy, Medicine, Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, HEOR, Genetics or Oncology
- Personal attributes: proactivity, independence, tenacity, adaptability, sense of humor, integrity, professionalism
- Excellent level of English, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy (Google suite, Slack, Salesforce, Mac)
- Fascination for innovative research and Artificial Intelligence
- Ideally, experience in a PE or VC backed start-up environment
