About the role

  • Serve as trusted business advisor selling Owens Corning roofing products to distributors, lumber companies, and contractors
  • Support Roofing Distribution business as part of the Great Lakes sales team
  • Strategically leverage customer relationships to execute annual sales plan
  • Drive growth within building materials industry and provide added value to customers
  • Execute price strategy and provide customer insights

Requirements

  • Prior experience selling on the value of a product or service to meet customer needs, from cold call through close
  • Listening skills to understand, diagnose and solve customer problems
  • Ability to drive business success with a clear territory strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to make persuasive product presentations
  • Conducts self with the highest ethical and moral standards
  • Must be located within the Detroit Metro territory
  • Home office based with ability to travel overnight
  • Ability to operate across geographic and cultural boundaries
