Cloud Engineer

• The Cloud Engineer Senior manages the design and up-keep of the organization's cloud-based systems to ensure the organization can operate efficiently and safely.
• Hybrid (Greensboro, NC) - on site as business needs dictate.
• Manages the projects and development initiatives for the organization's cloud architecture on IaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Ensures the implementation of cloud solutions are implemented properly and efficiently given the organization's current needs.
• Reviews cloud hardware, software, and applications to ensure data is secure and that security management and privacy requirements are incorporated.
• Reviews cloud infrastructure data tests using specialized infrastructure tools, techniques, and technologies in order to successfully support multiple cloud platforms.
• Provides guidance for resolving complex cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities for the team.
• Remains up to date about new cloud products, technology, and best practices.
• Manages the development, support, and documentation related to Disaster Recovery efforts for hybrid cloud workloads.
• Ensures the enforcement of standards and best practices to provide efficient and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Interacts with other IT teams and/or project teams to provide support, implementation, and design recommendations for cloud workloads.
• On call rotation required
• Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.
